Exploring lead hazards in the City of Syracuse

Elevated blood lead levels in children is endemic in Syracuse, particularly across the city’s poorest neighborhoods and refugee communities. A big reason for this, is the aging housing stock not being properly maintained. Currently, there are 209 open cases of lead violations cited by the county health department: {"x":{"options":{"crs":{"crsClass":"L.CRS.EPSG3857","code":null,"proj4def":null,"projectedBounds":null,"options":{}}},"setView":[[43.0402151219512,-76.1529580487805],13,[]],"calls":[{"method":"addTiles","args":["//{s}.tile.openstreetmap.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png",null,null,{"minZoom":0,"maxZoom":18,"tileSize":256,"subdomains":"abc","errorTileUrl":"","tms":false,"noWrap":false,"zoomOffset":0,"zoomReverse":false,"opacity":1,"zIndex":1,"detectRetina":false,"attribution":"© OpenStreetMap contributors, CC-BY-SA"}]},{"method":"addCircles","args":[[43.0706,43.067,43.0799,43.0733,43.0734,43.0765,43.0732,43.0664,43.0713,43.0707,43.0695,43.0698,43.0698,43.0698,43.0667,43.0654,43.0623,43.0597,43.0604,43.0632,43.0652,43.0652,43.0668,43.0627,43.0646,43.0654,43.0616,43.0608,43.062,43.0714,43.0715,43.0688,43.0667,43.0674,43.0771,43.074,43.0661,43.0629,43.063,43.063,43.0607,43.0585,43.0602,43.0607,43.061,43.0709,43.0724,43.0703,43.0679,43.0663,43.0654,43.0659,43.0637,43.0593,43.0566,43.0559,43.0555,43.0527,43.0526,43.0485,43.0474,43.0461,43.0452,43.0202,43.0471,43.0424,43.0473,43.0309,43.0265,43.005,43.003,43.0027,43.0041,43.0006,43.0128,43.0179,43.0188,43.0176,43.0176,43.0172,43.0154,43.014,43.0134,43.0142,43.0154,43.0186,43.0186,43.0179,43.0178,43.0144,43.014,43.0147,43.0224,43.0235,43.0232,43.0248,43.0231,43.0231,43.0218,43.0207,43.0198,43.0195,43.0222,43.0207,43.0208,43.0202,43.0218,43.0228,43.0234,43.0226,43.0225,43.0221,43.0208,43.02,43.0231,43.02,43.022,43.0211,43.0182,43.0168,43.0197,43.0228,43.0276,43.0281,43.0262,43.0252,43.0247,43.0241,43.0253,43.0249,43.0239,43.0232,43.0233,43.0297,43.0279,43.025,43.0252,43.0259,43.0264,43.0279,43.0287,43.0336,43.0308,43.0308,43.0332,43.0302,43.0307,43.0313,43.0327,43.0321,43.0321,43.0306,43.0314,43.0308,43.0326,43.0317,43.0313,43.0308,43.0375,43.0371,43.038,43.0348,43.0328,43.0328,43.0327,43.0369,43.0376,43.0358,43.0339,43.0332,43.0354,43.035,43.0351,43.0339,43.0337,43.0348,43.0357,43.035,43.0378,43.0387,43.0385,43.0344,43.0335,43.0348,43.0341,43.043,43.0422,43.0423,43.0419,43.0397,43.0401,43.0438,43.044,43.0433,43.058,43.0549,43.0522,43.0524,43.051,43.0516,43.0519,43.0519,43.0519,43.0487,43.0543,43.0549,43.0529,43.059,43.0583],[-76.1608,-76.1623,-76.1575,-76.1569,-76.1456,-76.1438,-76.1465,-76.1601,-76.1542,-76.1546,-76.1564,-76.1535,-76.1535,-76.1518,-76.1532,-76.1544,-76.1517,-76.1539,-76.1516,-76.1511,-76.1518,-76.1501,-76.1498,-76.1485,-76.1479,-76.1438,-76.1465,-76.1465,-76.1479,-76.1431,-76.1376,-76.1452,-76.1432,-76.1431,-76.1425,-76.139,-76.1405,-76.1412,-76.1395,-76.1362,-76.1429,-76.1447,-76.1421,-76.1409,-76.1397,-76.1057,-76.1065,-76.1018,-76.1125,-76.1047,-76.1034,-76.0945,-76.1045,-76.1045,-76.1163,-76.1322,-76.1292,-76.1393,-76.1419,-76.127,-76.1149,-76.1133,-76.1111,-76.1485,-76.1083,-76.0876,-76.1273,-76.1183,-76.1218,-76.1572,-76.1505,-76.1414,-76.1428,-76.1395,-76.1477,-76.153,-76.149,-76.1526,-76.1526,-76.1488,-76.1492,-76.1489,-76.1482,-76.154,-76.1563,-76.1428,-76.1428,-76.1444,-76.1427,-76.1434,-76.1413,-76.1473,-76.1456,-76.1468,-76.1454,-76.1435,-76.1427,-76.1423,-76.1416,-76.1417,-76.1428,-76.1452,-76.1459,-76.145,-76.1465,-76.1484,-76.1467,-76.1475,-76.1494,-76.1501,-76.1582,-76.1535,-76.1516,-76.1513,-76.152,-76.1509,-76.164,-76.1615,-76.1627,-76.1643,-76.1658,-76.1666,-76.1559,-76.1526,-76.1519,-76.1519,-76.1517,-76.1517,-76.1579,-76.1574,-76.1567,-76.1574,-76.1604,-76.143,-76.1468,-76.1494,-76.1511,-76.1508,-76.1515,-76.1494,-76.1493,-76.152,-76.1513,-76.1528,-76.1626,-76.1574,-76.1621,-76.1625,-76.1747,-76.173,-76.1732,-76.1818,-76.1797,-76.1798,-76.1767,-76.176,-76.1794,-76.1761,-76.1811,-76.1787,-76.1774,-76.1774,-76.1783,-76.18,-76.1813,-76.1723,-76.1689,-76.1693,-76.1667,-76.1677,-76.1702,-76.1725,-76.1733,-76.1705,-76.1755,-76.1768,-76.1762,-76.177,-76.1634,-76.1622,-76.1608,-76.1615,-76.1616,-76.1626,-76.1635,-76.1652,-76.1629,-76.1618,-76.1685,-76.1625,-76.1666,-76.1702,-76.169,-76.1653,-76.1714,-76.1743,-76.1733,-76.1736,-76.1791,-76.1778,-76.1737,-76.1722,-76.1722,-76.1908,-76.1908,-76.1943,-76.1961,-76.1948,-76.1979],10,null,null,{"interactive":true,"className":"","stroke":true,"color":"#03F","weight":5,"opacity":0.5,"fill":true,"fillColor":"#03F","fillOpacity":0.2},null,null,["411 Bear St","2513 Lodi St","1012 Wolf St","707 Turtle St","2234-36 Grant Blvd"
